Self-taught, independent filmmaker. His films were screened at many major international film festivals, including Sundance, Berlin, and Toronto. The High Level Bridge (2010) — Special Mention — Live Action Short Film at the AFI Festival in Los Angeles; The Island (2009) — Best Short Film at the Pink Apple Festival in Zürich, Switzerland; and Rock Pockets (2007) — the inaugural Lindalee Tracey Award at Hot Docs in Toronto. In January 2012, Anderson was selected to study under master filmmaker Werner Herzog at his Rogue Film School. Two men become six ballerinas and several horses in a bestial, impromptu corps de ballet. A riff on the imagery of Edgar Degas and the photography of Eadweard Muybridge. Originally commissioned by the Art Gallery of Alberta as part of the grand reopening celebrations.
