Director: Glendyn Ivin (Australia)Glendyn Ivin is an award winning commercials director based in Melbourne where he has been directing internatinal commercials for over 10 years. In 2003 he won the short film Palme d'Or, Cannes Film Festival for his film Cracker Bag that was presented at IFF Pacific Meridian. His subsequent short films have been acclaimed internationally. Last Ride is Ivin's feature film debut.
When his father bundles him into the car in the middle of the night, ten-year-old Chook knows something is wrong. Ex-con Kev is a desperate man who takes his ten-year-old son Chook on the run. As the two escape into the desert facing an unknown future, their troubled relationship and the need to survive see them battling the elements, and each other.
