Born in 1973 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Studied directing, art, drama and photography at the Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires from 1992 to 1996. He has also worked as lightning engineer, camera assistant and cinematographer on more than 100 commercials and about 60 music videos. He made his feature debut Just for Today in 2001 and has won him numerous international awards. The Other is his second film and has won Jury Grand Prix and Best Actor Award at Berlin IFF.
Juan Desouza is on a business trip when he realizes that the man, who has been sitting next to him all the time, has died. Secretly, almost as if it were a game, Juan decides to take on the dead man's identity. Making up a new profession for him and choosing a new address, Juan suddenly sees an opportunity to get away - and never go back. At the outset of his new life, and, now convinced that anything is possible, he finds himself caught up in an adventure amidst the wilds of untamed nature.
