    Born in 1960 in Gyeongsan. The one of the most famous and influential directors and producers of Korean cinema. He started his carrier as director of Two Cops the successful comedy which box office has been record for a long time. Knag also has directed several Korean blockbusters, including Public Enemy series and Silmido. After the success of Two Cops Kang founded his own film production and distribution company Cinema Service, which was one of biggest studio in South Korea. However he stepped down from the position of president of Cinema Service in 2005, claiming he intends to concentrate more on his personal film projects.
