    Director, scriptwriter, writer, journalist. Born in Moscow. Studied at the philological faculty of Moscow State University and at the Theatre Studies Department of Theatre Institute GITIS. Author and co-author of the film scripts “The Last Hero”, “Butterfly”, “Giselle’s Mania”, “His Wife’s Diary”, “The Stroll” by Alexei Uchitel, Grigori Konstantinopolsky’s “$8 1/2”, Andrei Konchalovsky’s “Gloss”. She has published in film journals, with Tatiana Tolstaya presents the television programme “School of Scandal”. In 2006 debuted as director.

A High-ranking official from Moscow comes to a provincial museum of almost forgotten classic of Russian literature by the request of the region governor, who wants to take the ground of the museum for building a new residence. At the beginning the official from Moscow supports this decision, but then he meets Masha, a young literary scholar working in the museum, and after that he changes his view not only on this issue, but on all of his life…
